1. About this beta

BeeMazing ("the app", "we", "us") is a family task-planning app provided by the BeeMazing team as a free, early-stage test ("beta"). It is a work in progress. By creating an account you acknowledge that the app may contain bugs, may change, and may occasionally be unavailable.

2. No warranty / limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the BeeMazing team is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including lost data. Do not rely on the app as your only record of important information.

3. Accounts, families & children

Accounts are created by adults. The adult who sets up a family is responsible for that family's use of the app, including any child profiles they create and any devices they pair for children.

Children do not create their own accounts and do not provide an email address. A parent or guardian adds a child as a profile and chooses what information (such as a first name or nickname) to enter. By adding a child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and consent to the processing of that child's information as described here.

4. What data we collect

• Account data: adult email address and a securely hashed password.
• Family content: family and member names, tasks, schedules, completions, rewards, points, and similar information you enter.
• Device & notification data: if you enable reminders, the technical details needed to send push notifications to your devices.
• Basic technical data: standard logs and error reports that help us keep the app working.

5. How we use data

We use your data to provide the app: to show your family's tasks, track completions and rewards, and send reminders you ask for.

Improving the product: we may look at aggregated, anonymized usage — for example how often the app is opened, which features are used, or how many tasks are created — to understand how families use BeeMazing and make it better. We do notuse the actual content of your family's tasks, rewards, names, or notes for this analysis, and these statistics never identify you or your children.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

6. Where data is stored

Data is stored using Supabase (database and authentication) on servers located in the European Union, and the app is hosted on Vercel. These providers process data on our behalf so we can run the app.

7. Your rights & data deletion

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your family's data at any time. Because this is a beta, the simplest way is to email hello@beemazing.app and we will action your request. If you are in the EU/EEA, you also have rights under the GDPR, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Data retention

We keep your data while your family uses the app. If you ask us to delete it, or if the beta ends, we will delete your family's data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep something to comply with law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the app develops. If we make significant changes, we will try to let you know in the app. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.
